Children's mental health week

This week was children's mental health week.

The theme for children's mental health week this year is 'Let's Connect' which is all about making meaningful connections. Healthy connections with family, friends or anyone we interact with on a daily basis can support our mental health and be vital for our wellbeing. However, if we don't have healthy connections with others, we can feel isolated and lonely which can have a negative impact on our mental health.

We talked about the importance of these healthy connections and thought about all the things that make us happy. The children made a link for a paperchain with pictures and symbols that are important to them and then wrote positive things about themselves on it. We connected all the links together from the Y5 and 6 children and now how a lovely paperchain outside our library showing that we are all connected!

Have a lovely, restful half term.
