On Monday and Tuesday this week, we suspended our normal morning timetable and focussed instead on completing our Miners’ tool aprons (which we designed and started to make last half term).
The children have worked really hard to master their sewing skills, revisiting running stitch and learning backstitch.
They hemmed their apron and attached a ribbon to one edge using back stitch. They then hemmed a pocket which they then applied to the apron using back stitch.
