We are officially stepping into December, and that can only mean one thing… it’s time to get festive in EYFS! 🎉✨
Over the next few weeks, the children will be helping to make our classroom sparkle by creating their own decorations, exploring winter-themed activities, and, of course putting up our Christmas tree! 🎄💫
Next week the big idea question’s we are focusing on are:
🕯️ How do people celebrate Hanukkah?
We’ll explore this beautiful celebration of light, learning about traditions such as lighting the menorah, playing dreidel, and enjoying special foods.
🎁 How do people get ready for celebrations?
This question has ran throughout our topic, the children are brilliant at answering it and talking about what they celebrate with their family and friends (thanks to everyone that has sent photos on tapestry).
❄️ How does winter feel?
We’ll be using our senses to talk about the changes we notice- crunchy leaves, frosty grass, chilly air, cosy jumpers and hats & scarves!
We’ll be sharing these stories:

Please don’t worry about sending a dressing gowns, it gets very warm in the hall during rehearsals and performances! ☀️😅 -
