Next week will be our final week of our “Build It Up” topic 🏠🧱, and what a fantastic journey it has been! We have absolutely loved seeing the children’s creativity shine ✨ as they have designed and made a wide range of buildings and structures in so many different ways. From towers to houses, their imagination and problem-solving skills have really impressed us 👏
To round off our topic, we will be sharing the classic story of “Jack and the Beanstalk” 🌿📖 and continuing to build castles 🏰
Alongside this, we will begin exploring the exciting changes that come with Spring 🌸🌼. We’ll be talking about what Spring feels like and looks like, encouraging the children to notice signs such as warmer weather ☀️, new growth 🌱, and changes in nature 🐣
As we get ready for Easter 🐰🥚, we have some fun activities planned for the children to enjoy:
-
Egg hunts 🥚🔍
-
Decorating eggs, making playdough eggs 🎨
-
Making Easter cards 💌
🌼 Our Big Idea Questions:
-
What are the signs of Spring? 🌸
-
What can you build? 🏗️
(Encouraging the children to use all their knowledge and skills to create something independently!)
We’re really looking forward to a fun, creative, and exciting final week of the term 🎉
