🎨 Dahl Class Explore the Art of Marbling 🌈

We are excited to share some of the beautiful artwork created by Dahl Class during our recent exploration of marbling techniques!

The children began by experimenting with different ways to create a marbled effect. We used shaving foam, food colouring, and Brusho paint mixed with water to see how colours could swirl, blend, and create unique patterns. The classroom was filled with curiosity, excitement, and lots of β€œoohs” and β€œwows” as the children watched their designs come to life.

After exploring these different techniques, each child carefully chose a colour palette inspired by a season. Some selected soft pinks and light greens to represent spring, while others chose deep oranges and browns for autumn, bright greens for summer, or cool blues and whites for winter.

Once their marbled backgrounds were complete, the children cut out and added a tree silhouette. To bring their seasonal trees to life, they used small balls of tissue paper to show what their tree was doing:

  • 🌸 Blossoming in spring
  • 🌿 Full of green leaves in summer
  • πŸ‚ Covered in autumnal colours
  • ❄️ Dotted with snow in winter

The results were truly stunning. Each piece was completely unique and reflected both creativity and careful thought about the changing seasons. The children were incredibly proud of their workβ€”and rightly so!

We were so impressed with how engaged and enthusiastic everyone was throughout the process. It was clear that they loved experimenting, creating, and expressing their ideas through art.

Most importantly, the children were very keen to share their wonderful creations… so we just had to show our grown-ups at home! We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
