Our school is buzzing with excitement as we get ready for Healthy Living Week, running from Monday 15th June to Friday 19th June. This special week is all about helping our children explore what it means to live a healthy, active lifestyle -and having plenty of fun along the way.

Throughout the week, pupils will dive into activities that promote fitness, wellbeing, and teamwork. They’ll take part in a variety of sports sessions, learn about keeping their bodies healthy, and enjoy two of our favourite annual events: Sports Day races and Potted Sports, proudly led by our fantastic Year 6 children.

To help everyone take part comfortably, we’re asking that all children come to school, where possible, in their P.E. kits every day that week. That means a red shirt, black shorts, and trainers-ready for action from the moment they arrive.

With the summer sun hopefully shining, please make sure your child comes prepared. We recommend applying sun cream before school and sending them with a sun hat and water bottle to help them stay cool and hydrated.

To support the wide range of activities planned, we kindly ask for £3 for each child which can be paid via Arbor. Every contribution helps us make this week memorable and meaningful for all our pupils.

Sports Day:

Our Sports Day will be held on Friday 19th of June in the morningThis is for children in Y-6 (EYFS have a separate one planned in soon). Parents can drop off their children at usual times and then grab a seat in the allocated are by the trackside. The school gates will be locked at 9:10am for the safety of our children so any late arrivals will need to come through the school office. We are anticipating being finished no later than 11:15am.  All children to wear correct PE kit for this event.

As Sports Day is very busy, and to help us keep the children safe and calm, we ask parents not encourage their children to come over to them and just wave at them from the allocated area. Staff will ensure that children have everything they need. Thank you for your support with this.

We can’t wait to celebrate a week full of energy, learning, and healthy fun!
