Earlier this week, our school was taken on a thrilling adventure across the high seas as we welcomed the fantastic Storyteller Mike! With his treasure chest of tales, Mike helped us dive into the exciting world of Treasure Island—and what a journey it was!
All of the children had the opportunity to work with Mike to bring this classic pirate story to life. From buried treasure to daring quests, imaginations ran wild as we retold the tale together.
Our Year 1 and 2 children were especially brilliant! They stepped into the shoes (or should we say boots!) of pirates, helping Mike act out key moments from the story. We heard some impressive “Arrr!”s echoing around the hall and saw some truly convincing pirate performances—future actors in the making, perhaps?
It was a fun-filled, action-packed experience that sparked creativity, confidence, and a whole lot of laughter. We’re so proud of all the children for joining in with such enthusiasm and energy.
