Roald Dahl Class Visit Nottingham Theatre Royal 🐊🎭

Thursday 2nd July

What an exciting adventure for our Year 1 children in Roald Dahl Class! As you can imagine, there was simply no better opportunity for us than a trip to see The Enormous Crocodile at Nottingham Theatre Royal β€” after all, our class has proudly been celebrating all things Roald Dahl this year!

A Special Day to Remember

The children will be taking part in a wonderful theatre experience, bringing to life one of Roald Dahl’s much-loved stories. This is a fantastic opportunity to spark imagination, deepen their love of storytelling, and experience live performance in a real theatre setting.

  • Bus fare money will be needed. bus is Β£2.40 in total (Β£1.20 each way). Please pop this in an envelope with your child’s name on and hand over to staff. This can be brought in to school anytime, preferably before the Thursday 2nd.

Supporting Your Child

To help the children feel confident and prepared, I will be sharing a social story with them ahead of the trip. This will explain:

  • Where we are going
  • How we are travelling
  • What will happen during the visit
  • Expected behaviour

Please take some time to look through this with your child at home β€” it will really help them feel secure and excited about the experience.

Social Story

We are so looking forward to a fun-filled and memorable day out. It promises to be a fantastic experience for the children and a perfect way to celebrate our Roald Dahl learning journey together!
