Healthy Living Week gave Year 3 plenty of chances to get moving and try out different sports. They were very excited to hear about the sporting activities they would partake in. Across the week, they took part in tag rugby π, kickboxing π₯, rounders βΎ, scatterball, and football β½, with the focus on having a go, learning the basics and working together.
Sports Day was another highlight. Year 3 participated well, tried their best and showed real teamwork π€ throughout the events. Well done Y3!
In the afternoon, Y3 took part in Potted Sports sessions, organised brilliantly by the Year 6s.This gave Year 3 the chance to rotate through quick, practical activities πββοΈ.
A big thank you to Mrs Wales, who coordinated the whole week π, and to the external providers who came in to give Year 3 opportunities to try new sports and discover what they enjoy π―.
Alongside the physical activities, we also talked about what healthy living looks like day to day: staying active, eating well and looking after ourselves.
Thank you to everyone who helped the week run smoothly. It was an active week the children will be sure to remember!
