Next Week’s Big Idea Question

As we continue our exciting Animal Kingdom topic, our Big Idea Question will be:

“What Animals Live on a Farm?”

We will be exploring life on the farm and learning about the different animals that live there. Through stories, discussions, songs and creative activities, the children will develop their understanding of farm animals and how they are cared for.

Some of the things we will be learning about include:

🐑 Knowing that sheep, pigs, cows and horses live on a farm and are cared for by a farmer.

🐄 Naming farm animals and their babies, such as calves, lambs, chicks and piglets.

🥛 Learning that cows live on a farm and give us milk.

🧶 Discovering that sheep have wool to help keep them warm.

🥚 Understanding that chickens lay eggs and this is where our eggs come from!

We will also be enjoying some fun farm-themed activities, including:

🎨 Painting and creating our favourite farm animals.

🎵 Singing the much-loved song “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and joining in with the actions.
