During our Science work this half-term, the children have explored the local habitat and what plants and animals can be found living there. We have also looked at microhabitats, focussing on fallen logs and grass, and what minibeasts make these home! This week, the children brought in resources from home and had an amazing time making a bug hotel. They each made their own microhabitat from plant pots and natural resources, and we then put these together in a pallet. 

We can't wait to go and investigate what creatures have moved in next half-term!

In our computing lessons, we have been learning all about blogs and the children then got the chance to write and make a blog post about the bug hotel that they created.
