Jigsaw PSHE Focus
Throughout this school year, we have been using Jigsaw—a whole-school PSHE (Personal, Social, and Health Education) programme that takes a mindful and inclusive approach to children’s personal development.
Through Jigsaw, children have been developing their emotional literacy, self-esteem, and understanding of themselves and others. You may have heard your child mention their Jigsaw Friends or Calm Me time—both are key elements of the programme that help create a safe and reflective learning environment.
What’s coming up next?
In the Summer Term, our focus is on a Jigsaw units (known as “Puzzles”):
- Changing Me
After the half-term break, we will begin the Changing Me unit, starting on 30th May. This unit includes 2–3 age-appropriate lessons in each year group that explore the changes associated with growing up, including puberty and, in upper Key Stage 2, human reproduction.

- Lessons are delivered with sensitivity and care.
- Younger year groups focus on foundational knowledge, such as correct terminology for body parts and understanding personal boundaries.
