The classroom had been transformed into Nocturnia, the city in the Amelia Fang books by Laura Ellen Anderson. Amelia is a vampire, and along with her pet pumpkin Squashy and her other friends she has many exciting adventures.

The children that visited Nocturnia today got to see videos of Laura telling them all about Amelia Fang as well as what it's like to be an author and illustrator. She also set them a challenge to create their own character that could live in the world of Amelia Fang!

The children were also given the chance to design a book cover, an outfit for the Barbaric Ball and learnt how to draw Squashy!
