To start our new Literacy unit off with a bang Parks class received postcards from all around the world. Postcards were from far and wide, Edinburgh, Budapest, Japan, Greece, Florida, Beijing, Mumbai, Kenya, Canada and Rome to name a few.

We looked at the features of postcards, the layout and the purpose of a postcard.

We even received some exciting postcards from the staff on their very own travels which the children loved reading about!

This week and next week we'll be using our knowledge of America and writing a postcard based on our travels to the world-famous New York City!
