As part of our topic, ‘Magnificent Monarchs’, we are organising a class trip to Tamworth Castle on Wednesday 29^th June 2022. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn all about the history of castles and strengthen the learning we have going on in school.

We wanted to inform you well in advance as the cost of this trip will be £19.50 per child. This is more than we would normally like to spend on a trip. However, as Covid-19 has prevented us from doing any educational visits for the last two years, we wanted to do something special before the children leave Key Stage One.

As well as having a tour of the castle, children will be taking part in two specialised workshops during our visit. One focuses on using replica historical items to role play lords and ladies, the other gives children the experience of training to be medieval knights! We really hope this will give our children some great memories and help consolidate their learning from our history lessons.

Children will need to bring a packed lunch on the day and wear school uniform as normal. Our coach will be leaving at 9:15 so children need to arrive promptly for registration.

We will arrive back before home time so pick up will be 3:30 as usual.

All payments and permissions are to be made on the Eduspot, school money website, a reminder for passwords will be sent out. Please ensure payments are made by Wednesday 22^nd June.
