An exciting visitor from BGS!

Hello!

On Friday, Parks class were fortunate enough to learn EVEN more about mountains from an expert and geoscientist called Alessandro who works at the British Geological Survey in Keyworth.

He taught us and helped consolidate our learning about mountains. We learnt where mountains are located, how they are formed and the infamous Mount Everest.

We even had the chance to ask questions such as: 'why is the weather so extreme on some mountains?' 'what animals live there?' 'why do people take expeditions to mountains' and 'why do people wear sunglasses when they are visiting snowy mountain regions'.

Parks class loved their visit, and it was exciting to hear from an expert in this particular field.

On behalf of all of Parks class and myself, thank you Alessandro!
