Making Musical sounds

Phonological awareness finale!

During this half-term our focus during our phonological awareness sessions has been all about Instrumental sounds.

We were very lucky to have two musicians come to visit us and play a variety of musical instruments.

We listened to the flute, saxophone, Jamaican drums and the accordion, we could distinguish the different types of sounds that were played. We all then had an opportunity to join in with some percussion instruments playing loud, soft, high and low sounds. Some of us even had an opportunity to pretend to be a conductor and control the sound of the orchestra.

Everyone had such a great time ending singing Jingle Bells with the accordion playing.
