Safer Internet Day 2023

On Tuesday 7th February it was Safer Internet Day.

In school this week, we have been learning about how to keep safe on the internet.

On Monday, we looked at what we could do if we see something online which upsets us. We learnt that it is really important to tell a grown up if something unsettles us and makes us worry.

On Tuesday, we looked at how quickly information (including pictures and selfies) can be shared around the internet and how this might make someone feel. We passed a selfie of Tina around the classroom to demonstrate how many people can have the photograph after it has been shared.

We spoke about making sure others consent to have their photos shared. Again, we spoke about the importance of telling a trusted adult if something worries or upsets us.
