Welcome to Summer 2

We have had a great first day back at school. All children have slipped back into their routines and seem ready for the half-term ahead.

We started summer 2 with a visit from VIA where we learnt all about how to cross a road safely. We really e enjoyed this and learnt a lot about zebra and pelican crossings and the importance of STOP, LOOK, LISTEN. Check out photos from our session at the bottom of this blog.

Our new topic

Our topic focus this half-term is a history unit all about transport. Our lessons will be based around the question 'How and why has transport changed over time?'.

We will compare transport from the past and present and discuss how and why these have changed. We will look in detail at cars, trains and aeroplanes. We will also learn about the exciting inventions of the Wright Brothers and George Stephenson and explore how they changed travel around the world.
