Easter Pictures for the Church

Last week the children found out about the Holy week of Easter.

We did this by telling the story through handprints (and one set of footprints!)

Our pictures are now displayed in the church.

We started off with Palm Sunday and talked about Jesus going to the temple.

Then we painted wheat and grapes  to represent the wine and bread from The Last Supper with his disciples. The children discussed how one of his disciples betrayed him and why others denied  they knew him.  The children learned that he died on the cross and that he rose again.

It was a lovely way to try find out about Easter. The children have asked to do this interactive story telling again. Take a look at the photos to see how we made our story. click here
