9th September 2020 Update

A parent at Keyworth has today phoned to report that their child is not feeling 100%. Although no other symptoms indicated covid-19, the parent has taken their child for a test and will keep the whole family at home until they have the result.

With increased testing and vigilance in the UK, this situation is very typical for all local schools, and parents should not be alarmed over the coming weeks if a child has been for a test– being cautious and careful is the new ‘normal’ for all parts of society. Of course, we will alert you if a child or adult in school receives a positive test result and what the implications of this will be.

If you have any doubt about symptoms, we would strongly urge you to use the NHS symptom checker here: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19/  . This site analyses the symptoms you report and gives clear guidance and information about the symptoms and testing.

On a separate note, thank you for your cooperation with social distancing when you drop off and pick up your children - by the end of the week we will all be experts at it!

The children have been absolute stars and the atmosphere in school today has been lovely.

If you have any questions then please catch a member of SLT on the playground.
