Have you started your Bronze Award yet?

Some of our Year 6 children have been super busy and have completed their Bronze Award already! Well done!

Part of our whole school homework policy is that every child works towards their reading awards. In the Autumn Term we aim for all of our children to complete their Bronze Reading Award by Christmas. Lots of the children have already started, but if you haven't, don't worry because half term is the perfect time to start ticking them off.

All the Reading Awards are at the back of the home/ school books.

In Key Stage 1 you have the reading map. Every time your child reads to you, initial, colour or put a sticker on the map. Once they have filled the map, tell their teacher and they will receive their certificate and reward.

In Key Stage 2 we want our children to explore reading through different activities. They need to complete the 10 activities to achieve their Bronze Reading Award. There are some attachments below to help with some of the tasks. It is always lovely to see photographs or be sent what they have done to complete their award so please forward them to your class emails if you would like to share.

For children in EYFS, keep an eye on your TAPESTRY as Mrs Lindley will be showing you how your child can gain their Reading Award later this week.
