Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) including the new Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) requirements.

RSE policy: Consultation letter

November 2020

Dear parents/carers,

There have been some recent updates to relationships and sex education (RSE) for children in primary schools. With these updates in mind, we’ve worked to make sure that the curriculum at KPNS reflects:

  • Our pupils’ age and maturity levels, as well as their cultural and religious backgrounds
  • The values of our school community
  • Every pupil’s learning needs
  • What pupils need to know to be healthy and safe in school, in their personal relationships and in the wider world

We’ve now updated our RSE policy to include our proposed new curriculum. You’ll find a copy of our new draft policy attached below.

If you would like to offer feedback on the proposed curriculum, and the wider policy then please email the school office at: schooloffice@keyworth.notts.sch.uk or speak with Mr Cresswell, Mrs Holmes or Mrs King.

The deadline for responding to this consultation is 20th November 2020.

Yours sincerely,

HHolmes
