Elaine and Simon visited us to hold our weekly Big Start  Assembly and the focus for this  session was Joseph the Carpenter. We started today looking at seeds, twigs, trees, wood and carvings. We discussed how a very small seed can end up as a beautiful wooden ornament.  After singing an upbeat song about the 'No Ordinary Baby' we participated in an action story about Joseph. It explained in a clear way how Joseph felt when he heard Mary was having a baby and the decisions he made for the future of his family. 

It was so good to get fully involved in the assembly and hear the special items that the children of KPNS have made that took time and great effort. Simon was very impressed. We ended our assembly with a prayer and Elaine encouraged the children on making something special with something ordinary.
