At the start of the year, Kingfisher class read the Kingfisher poem in 'The Lost Words'. They wrote their own poems inspired by the book. Miss Hopwood was so impressed that she tweeted the author of the book with some of the children's poems and he replied!

Today, we have also had a very exciting visit from one of the organisers of a Crowdfunding campaign to get a copy of 'The Lost Words' into all schools in Nottinghamshire (you can read more about this on the letter below). Patrick Limb gave us a copy of the book and also had a look at the fantastic poems in Kingfisher class.
