world book day in Y4
What a wonderful Book Week it has been!
We kicked off the week on Monday with an incredible assembly led by Storyteller Mike, who captivated us with exciting stories that inspired the children and highlighted the power of books.
Then, on Thursday, we started the day with a fantastic assembly hosted by MC Grammar and Paddington Bear (aka Mr. Cresswell and Mrs. King). Mrs. King shared our whole-school story—What We'll Build by Oliver Jeffers—a beautifully thoughtful book that sparked our imaginations.
Back in the classroom, Y4 focused on a special page from the book that talked about building each other’s futures. We recreated the page, adding our own hopes and dreams alongside those of our friends.
To top it all off, we had an amazing virtual visit from Michael Rosen, who performed his famous poem Chocolate Cake—a piece we’re excited to explore in our reading lessons later this term.
