The parent of a child at KPNS has called us today to say their child may have had a slight temperature this morning. Although the parent isn't sure about the temperature, and does not have a thermometer to check this, we have advised that they both self-isolate and a test has been requested. The child in question did spend time in your child's bubble this week.
Government advice states that other children and staff in the bubble can continue to come to school unless a positive test is confirmed. When, and if, we hear the outcome of a test, we will inform you straight away and advise accordingly.
Please be reassured that classrooms and any equipment used by children and staff is cleaned at regular intervals during the day and a full clean is carried out at the end of the day.
See our parent FAQs below which contain important information you may find useful. However, we do appreciate that this communication may cause you some worry – do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss your child’s attendance at school over the coming days.
Please appreciate that we are not able to share the identity of the person displaying symptoms
