Hello!

Sweet Peas were very excited to expand their knowledge of earthquakes as part of our 'tremors' topic. We were incredibly fortunate enough to learn from our special visitor Luke Bateson from BGS.

We learnt about how earthquakes are created, how they are measured and learnt about the impact of these on people and their environments.

We also had the opportunity to learn about earthquake-proof buildings and created some of our very own and tested these using tremors using jelly!

The children had lots of fun! Thank you Luke! You have certainly helped to make our topic memorable!
