Safer Internet day

Take a look at what Andersen class have been up to for safer Internet day.

Today is safer Internet day so, In Andersen class we have been doing some work around how we behave on the Internet and how to be safe.

The focus for safer Internet day this year is all about ‘Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online’. Schools across the country will be talking about how children should use the Internet in a safe and responsible way.

The children will have had an assembly on what the theme is this year and what we mean about safer Internet. In class, we have looked at:

  • The different between personal and private information.
  • What is appropriate to share online.
  • The dangers and the benefits of sharing information online.
  • Risk of sharing information online.
  • How we are safe online and came up with some examples as a class (see below).

Andersen's class will carry on learning all about safer Internet throughout the week through one of our ICT modules 'isafe'

Here is the video we watch in class about safer Internet day and linked below is some useful resources for the children and tips for adults.
