Literacy
Some children are making great progress with their reading and will continue to do writing based on their coloured reading books. Remember to read three times a week to support our learning in class. By the third read, children should be reading the story with much more fluency and expression (it should not be a challenge!)

Children reading orange, yellow, blue or grey will be looking at instructions and persuasive letters this term. Our first writing unit will use George's Marvellous Medicine to help us write some amazing recipes!

Maths
We will continue to look at addition and subtraction for a couple of weeks and then move on to money before Christmas.

Science
Our unit is Animals including Humans. We will be looking a living/dead/never alive, offspring, life cycles, survival, diet and exercise.

Topic
Our new topic is called Much, Mess and Mixtures! This is (mainly) a DT/Art topic. A lot of our learning will focus around food including where food comes from, dishes from around the world, recipes and packaging. We will also look at the artist Van Gogh.
