Arrrrgh! Me Maties! Hope you're all ready for a Swashbuckling Spring term as our topic is 'Land Ahoy!' which has a pirate theme. See bottom of page for some lovely ideas of things you can do at home linked to this topic.

Through this topic we will be learning about:

• Report writing and story writing in literacy
• Animal habitats including coastal habitats in science
• Coastal features in geography
• Grace Darling and other significant figures in history
• Sea shanties in music

Maths this term will mainly focus on multiplication and division after we finish our current unit on money. It would really support our learning in class if your child accessed DoodleMaths as often as possible.

Last term we were consistently bottom of the school leader board in both DoodleMaths and DoodleSpell.

Accessing DoodleMaths and spelling is non-negotiable as it is your child's homework. If you are struggling to access these apps please speak to our office or Mrs King as we have technology available in school we may be able to loan you.

If you need your password reset please speak to Mrs O'Connor.

It would also be really useful if you could write your child's username and password in the front of their Home-School diaries so that have the option to access these apps in school.

Our new spelling programme from Read Write Inc is going really well! I will continue to assign Doodlespell activities for spelling rules we've previously looked at to help embed children's learning.
