Our new topic is called 'Magnificent Monarchs' which focuses on the history of English kings and queens. We will be learning about:

• Significant monarchs such as William the conqueror and Queen Victoria
• Castles and royal residences
• Our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II and her jubilee
• Legends in literacy (expect to hear about dragons!)

**In June, we will be visiting Tamworth Castle! More details to follow in the next few weeks**

In Science, we are building on our knowledge of everyday materials, with a focus on changing solid objects through bending, twisting, squashing and stretching.

Maths this term will look at fractions and time. We will also be frequently practising our reasoning and arithmetic skills to help us prepare for SATs in May - Keep an eye on the blog for more information regarding SATs.

In the meantime, the best way you can support learning at home is to stay green on DoodleMaths and DoodleSpell, and read as regularly as you can. Remember diaries need to be signed at least three times a week - lets aim to get more reading awards this half term!
