Hello all

Welcome to Autumn 2 and what an exciting term we have got ahead of us! 

This term we are going to start looking at the Romans, answering the question.  'What happened when the Romans came to Britain ? 'As well as this, we will be exploring what sports were famous during the Roman. . For more information on what we will be learning this term, check the curriculum map below.

 

Our class text this term 

This term our class text will be 'Roman on the Rampage' by Jeremy Strong. If you have a copy at home, please feel free to bring it in and read alone.

 

PE days

Our PE day this term will be Mondays and Thursdays with Miss Robinson. Please make sure children have the correct PE kits, sensible shoes and have removed or covered up their earrings. 

Expectations

• Read out loud to an adult at least 3x a week and to note this in your home school dairy. 
• To be in the green zone on Doodle maths (including doodle timetables) each week.
• To be in the green zone on Doodle spell each week.
• To  ensure that they have their PE kits for each PE lesson, or they will not be allowed to take part
• To take part in the Bronze reading award.

• Friday 17th of November Children in Need

• Saturday 2nd of December- Festivities Day in Keyworth

• Friday 8th of December- Whole School Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Fair!

• Tuesday 12th of December - Morning Christmas Performance.

• Wednesday 13th of December- Afternoon and evening Christmas Performance.

• Wednesday 20th December- Whole school trip to the panto.
