We have been busy this term learning lots of interesting new topics. 

Science 

In science, we have been learning all about electricity and the components that make up a simple circuit, as well as examining what insulators and conductors are. Here are some photos of them completing their circuits.

 

Geography 

In geography, we have been learning all about America. We begin the term by locating where America is and identifying the states of the USA. This week, we have focused on the Colorado River's location and the states it flows through, as well as examining different regions such as the Coniferous Forest, Temperate Grassland, and the desert.

Music 

This term in music, we have been closely studying the Pink Panther theme tune and learning how specific sounds can affect us to create a mood or action. This week, the 4-year-olds tried their hand at recreating the sounds.

Maths 

In Maths, we have been busy learning all about multiplication and division as well as learning our 7 timetables.

English 

We began the term by studying the poem 'Magic Room,' and then the children wrote their own magic room poems. We have now started learning our new story, 'Waldo and the Giant,' and are examining the writing techniques used. Below are our story maps for the first part of the story.
