Team Terracotta Army!
Orangutans and Jaguars made our own clay versions of the Terracotta Army in China.
On Thursday afternoon, the children in Orangutan and Jaguar classes paired up across the classes and year groups to desgin and make their own 'Terracotta warrior'. We learned about the Terracotta army in China, looked closely at some of the features and designs of the soldiers (of which no two are the same) and then designed and made our own versions. We had to think about the facial features, the armour and the weapons and work out how to construct it so that it would stand up. We used clay tools for the smaller details on the faces and armour.
