Orangutans do World Book Day...

...and say 'bye bye' to Mr Boyd!

We finally got to dress up for our (slightly belated) World Book Day last Thursday. The snow held off and we had a classroom full of book characters such as Gangsta Granny, Matilda, Wally, Wimpy Kid and Dennis the Menace to name but a few. The teachers had mysteriously disappeared and the class were taught by Miss De Vil, Mrs 'Demon Dentist' and Mr 'Long John Silver' for the day! We had a day of talking and writing about our facvourite book characters, writing letters to authors and getting things ready for our new reading corner that's coming soon! However,  amongst all the fun reading festivities, the morning also ended on a sad note when we had to say goodbye to Mr Boyd, who's been teaching alongside Miss Fisher for the last half term.  We've had a really great time with him in the classroom and we wish him all the best for the rest of his teaching placement back at Crossdale. We'll miss you Mr Boyd!
