It's a wrap!
Today we launched our new topic about Ancient Egypt by mummifying each other!
We read up on how mummification was carried out and decided to give it a go ourselves!
First we started off by 'removing the organs' (don't worry, there were no hooks up noses!) and then we acted out washing and adding salt and natron to the bodies, before the real fun began...
The end result of all this "hard work" was four very lively looking mummies, a few aching arms and a lot of mess! We think that learning about the Ancient Egyptians is going to be a lot of fun!
Just a reminder that our class text this half term is Secrets of a Sun King by Emma Carroll - you are welcome to bring in your own copies if you would like!
