This Year's World Book Day is on Thursday 6th of March and the children always love doing something creative to celebrate. In the past we have done 'Books in a box', 'Story Jars' and last year all our children drew their favourite bedtime stories on stars, which are all displayed in school.

This year we are holding a BOOK DAY BAKE OFF!! We are inviting staff and students to bake a range of book-themed goodies. Gingerbread people decorated as characters or cakes depicting scenes from stories... be as creative as you can. 

All cakes are to be delivered to the school office in a NAMED container on the morning of World Book Day (Thursday 6th of March). The children will vote for their favourites during the school day and 5 winners will be chosen to receive a book voucher. The school librarians will then hold a bake sale with the cakes at the end of the school day with all proceeds going to buy new books for the children to enjoy.
