Would you like to be a Reading Volunteer?
Published 20/12/22, by Katie SturmanWould you like to play a part in helping children develop their reading skills?
We are looking for two or more reading volunteers* who would be willing to come into school one afternoon a week to listen to some of our wonderful Year 1 and 2 children read.
The day you come in will be up to you! All you need to do is let us know the day and time of afternoon which suits you best, and we will try our best to accommodate this.
In these sessions you will be listening to our children read the stories they have been practising in phonics. This will help them develop speed when reading and will also count towards their silver reading awards!
If you are interested in offering your time to support reading at KPNS, please speak to Mrs Buttery or Mrs King (schooloffice@keyworth.notts.sch.uk).
We are very excited to see where our reading will take us after Christmas and would love for you to join us on this journey!
Thank you.
