Lennon class had a fab start to the day and worked so hard on our tests this morning, so we had some calm art time this afternoon!
The children created raised relief art by drawing patterns onto polystyrene blocks and using rollers to paint and print onto paper - they look fantastic!
Today in Lennon class we held a debate about whether or not tourism is a positive or a negative thing.
Over the last few weeks in Lennon class, we have been writing narrative stories about pirates!
Today in Lennon class we have been creating sketches of seashells!
Our new topic for the next term is Beside the Seaside!
This morning we have been working with the children in Year 1 to take part in some very exciting Easter themed maths challenges!
Today in Y2 we have been applying what we have learnt about volume and capacity.
We have been inventing in Lennon class today for British Science Week this afternoon!
We have looked at some Victorian inventions (some useful and some crazy!) and then had a go at creating our own!

We had a wonderful day on world book day learning about different poems and writing and performing our own poetry in all the different classrooms!

This term we are learning all about the Victorians!
We will be looking at what life was like in Keyworth during Victorian times, as well as comparing schools then and today!
In English (unless your child is part of a phonics group) we will be continuing our Phonics get writing work, as well as VIPERs reading lessons.
In Maths we are working on measuring! We will be looking at length and width in cm and m, as well as volume and capacity - it would be great if you could do some of this at home too!
In Science we are looking at living things and their habitats!
In art, we will be studying the work of L.S Lowry and learning a bit about his life!
In computing, we are finding out about how technology has changed over time.
In JIGSAW we are learning about how to keep our minds and bodies healthy!
In RE we are learning about churches, and Easter!
PE is on Tuesdays and Fridays so please make sure your child has their kit in school on those days.
