Here is the learning map for the week beginning 29.11.21.

On Wednesday morning, the whole school will be taking part in a 'Massive Maths' challenge. Our challenge is called 'Unlock the reindeer stables'. It would be great for you to take part in this activity and take some photos of your lovely work. I am sure Miss Hopwood would love to see these too.

  • Home Learning

    Published 24/11/21, by Katie Sturman

You should have now received an email with your child's Seesaw log in details. This is the platform we will be using to assign any home learning activities to those who are currently learning from home.

Please note, this is only required for children who are at home isolating with a confirmed case of COVID, or are waiting their PCR results.
We only expect children to complete these tasks if they are feeling well enough to do so.

I will be uploading a 'home learning mat' onto our blog at the start of each week. This outlines the activities I have set and will contain links to anything which cannot be accessed on the Seesaw homepage.
I have attached the learning map for the remainder of the week to this blog.

  • PJ Day and Diwali Celebrations!

    Published 19/11/21, by Katie Sturman

What a fun day! Spending all day in our pjs AND celebrating Diwali this afternoon!

In RE, we have been learning about the Hindu celebration, Diwali. This afternoon we had a Diwali celebration where we created our own rangoli and Mehndi patterns and made Diwali cards.

All the class were super sensible with this activity, and I am very proud of their learning.

Have a restful weekend and keep going with your reading and doodles. There will be more discovery points up for grabs next Friday for those who are in the green zone!

  • Where do we live?

    Published 11/11/21, by Katie Sturman

Last week we received a postcard from Peru from a mysterious explorer! The postcard asked us to explain where we lived.  We were able to answer this question easily because we have been learning all about our continent, country and city in our geography lessons.

Some children think the postcard was from Paddington Bear (!) but we will have to wait and see if we receive any more postcards in the coming weeks.
