  • From Meadow Class to Anning Class

    Published 05/08/21, by Sara Lindley

    Hello!

It’s Miss Sturman here. It has been lovely spending time to get to know you all over the past few weeks. I am really looking forwards to having you with me in Year 1 in September.

When you come back to school after the summer holidays, you are going to be a part of Anning class. This is named after a lady called Mary Anning who was a famous fossil hunter many years ago. She has made some very important discoveries which tells us lots about what the world was like millions of years ago, even before the dinosaurs!

In Anning class, we will also be making important discoveries of our own through investigating, exploring, and learning about the world around us. I cannot wait to see what interesting things we find out.

Our class book about Mary Anning is from the ‘Little People, Big Dreams’ series and I have recorded myself reading the story for you to share with your grown-ups.

    See you very soon,

    Miss Sturman
