Over the next couple of weeks we will be sharing different versions of the classic tale... Jack and the Beanstalk. We will be sequencing and re-calling the story, hot seating and describing the characters, and becoming characters ourselves, acting out the story!

We will be sharing the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk' and learning the makaton signs for the days of the week to help us sequence the story and the different steps Jasper completed.

We will also be exploring the big ideas question 'What does a plant need to grow?' by planting our own beans and observing the best growing conditions. We will be focusing on the vocabulary below-ask your children what a plant needs to grow and see if they can name the simple parts of a plant.
