London's Burning!

Welcome back to Spring 2. We can start to look forwards to the lighter, sunnier days!

Our next topic in Year 1 is The Great Fire of London. We will find out what happened in 1666, how it happened and what changed following this disaster.

In this history topic we will:

  • Place the key events of the Great Fire into chronological order
  • Investigate why and how the fire began
  • Learn about Samuel Peyps and why he is important
  • Discover what changes were made after the Great Fire
  • Explore ways we can learn about the past.

Are you ready to find out why London started burning?
