Secondary Science at South Wolds

Astronaut's underwear, driving to the Moon and racing rockets all in an hour!

Mr Singh made us so welcome at South Wolds Academy, where the tables were full of Science materials. It felt great to be inside a real life Science Lab, discussing the topic of Space. Did you know that it would take 142 days to drive to the moon? Guess how long it would take to get to the Sun- if you can't, just ask Y6 (they know ALL the answers). We got to mix Sodium Polyacrylate, a super absorbant chemical used in Astronaut's underwear and followed that by testing out our racing rockets, Starburst 1st won -well done Ellis and Evie.  Science is everything!
