Happy Holidays!

Well… we made it through the first half term!

Hawking class have worked really hard over the past seven weeks and have produced some lovely work based around our coal mining topic.

Our next topic is based around BIOMES and we will be focusing particularly on deserts and savannah. As part of this (once we have finished The Nowhere Emporium) our class text will be Holes by Louis Sachar.

Congratulations to our final Golden Eggs of this half term: Milana and Bailie, both of whom show amazing attitude to their learning even when they find things tricky.

I have set holiday work on Doodles and would be grateful if you would encourage your child to keep their learning “ticking over” whilst having a well-earned rest. There’s lots of spelling revision based on the spellings we covered last half term; some reading comprehensions for your child to have a go at; plus Maths linked to the work that we have covered so far this year. Whilst I cannot assign Times Tables tasks, it would be time well spent for your child if they were to go on Doodles Times Tables, as this half term’s Maths topics will be so much easier for them if they are fluent to 12 x 12.

I hope you have a wonderful couple of weeks and that the sunshine lasts for you all.
