A busy week in Sea Lions...

Hello!

It has been a busy week in Sea Lions class! I thought I would share our Scrumdiddlyumptious working wall.

Here’s a run down of this weeks learning:

In Science this week we looked at human and animal skeletons and learnt about why we need a skeleton and what would happen if we didn’t have one. Next week in Science we will be starting to look at the major organs in our body.

In Geography this week we learnt how to use atlases and tried to locate countries and their unusual foods such as deep fried tarantulas and blood soup! (please see pictures).

In Maths we have been tackling column subtraction and have learnt various ways to solve problems using base 10 and written methods (please see our Maths anchor chart).

In Literacy we are continuing to look at smoothie recipes and will be writing our own smoothie recipe next week!

As a side note, we are starting to get some fantastic spelling scores so well done Sea Lions! I can see you have really practised these and we are now starting to use these in our writing- keep it up!

I'm looking forward to our residential next week. See you there Sea Lions! (residential pictures to follow soon).
