The Sea Lions build a cave...

The Sea Lions built a cave in Science to explore which colours are more visable in the dark...

As part of our 'light and shadows' topic in Science the Sea Lions had the opportunity to build a cave to explore which colours are more visible in the dark.

We learnt that light is reflected upon surfaces and humans see when light reflects off of objects. We also found we are more likely to see brighter colours such as yellow and orange and less likely to see darker colours clearly.

We also covered why we wear high visibility jackets and why cats eyes glow!

The children noticed that our eyes learn to adjust to the dark to help us see and learnt that visible light contains seven different colours!
