They have only had two lessons so far but Year 4 are getting the hang of handling and holding the violin (and they are finding out that it is quite an arm-aching activity to start with!)  They have learnt all about the parts of the violin as well as the names of all the strings.  This week, they practised playing a simple tune together by plucking the strings, a technique known as pizzicato.  They are all looking forward to more violin lessons after the half term holiday.
