Welcome back to a new term year 5. We've made a super start finding out about all things farming and agriculture that happen at this time of the year. We're so lucky to live in the countryside where we can see evidence of this on our doorstep.

Through this term we'll be looking at the local land-use and thinking about how to make our environment even more appealing. We hope to go for walks around the centre and outskirts of Keyworth and really think about what makes this such a wonderful place to live and how important it is to farming life in Nottinghamshire.

We've begun reading the Secret Garden too - it's fascinating how seasons and a little bit of care can change something so that it becomes productive and beautiful.  Mary Lennox has already marvelled at the amazing nature around her, after moving to England from India; uncovering amazing secrets in her own back garden that we hope to find in ours too!
